About Us

From a rundown property turned garden to one of Tabuk’s most beloved accommodations, Grand Zion Garden Resort Hotel is a story of vision, community, and heartfelt hospitality.

Our Story

Your Gateway to Kalinga’s Paradise

Rooted in Passion and Purpose

Long before it became a resort, Grand Zion was simply a quiet property acquired by Benjamin Chan and Aurora Bayle—a successful businessman and businesswoman with a shared passion for plants and connecting with people.

In between their business ventures, the couple transformed the run-down property into a personal garden. It was their way of creating something beautiful, peaceful, and grounded—a space where they could host friends and family gatherings surrounded in nature.

A Vision Encouraged by Community

When the Department of Trade and Industry approached them with the idea of building a hotel, it wasn’t just a business pitch—it was a chance to support Tabuk’s growing tourism sector and its push toward cityhood.

Inspired by this purpose, the couple turned their garden into something even more meaningful: a place where visitors could rest, connect, and experience the warmth of Kalinga.

Established in 2010: Tabuk’s First Garden Resort

In 2010, Grand Zion Garden Resort Hotel opened with 10 distinct inspired rooms, rustic architecture using stone and wood, and tranquil open spaces. It was Tabuk’s first garden resort—and quickly became a favorite for travelers seeking peace and authenticity in the heart of Kalinga.

Supporting Tabuk’s Rise

What began as a quiet garden has grown into a destination that reflects the heart of Tabuk’s transformation. As one of the city’s early garden resorts, Grand Zion was built not just to host guests, but to help shape a sense of place and pride.

Our journey has been part of Tabuk’s emerging hotel industry, and recognized in national stories about how local hotels helped fuel a city’s rise.

Grand Zion continues to grow with Tabuk—rooted in purpose, shaped by community, and inspired by the beauty of Kalinga.

Growing with Grace

Over the years, the resort expanded from 10 rooms to 19, and eventually 30 guest rooms, with two additional buildings thoughtfully constructed to preserve the property’s garden charm and intimate ambiance.

Today, Grand Zion is known not just as a hotel—but as a place where memories are made.

A Place to Dine, Celebrate, and Connect

To complement the stay experience, the resort introduced two signature dining spaces, Ben’s Kitchen, where guests can enjoy hearty Filipino meals, and Café 195O, offering cozy café fare with local flair

With spacious event gardens, shaded paths, and a calming alpine aesthetic, the resort is now a go-to venue for garden weddings, debut parties, anniversaries, intimate gatherings, and garden fairs, accommodating up to 200 guests.
